Prototype
The first diesel-electric multiple units designed for high speed service, introduced in 1960. Operated on the London Midland and Western Regions, as 6- and 8-car fixed sets, respectively. Midland units transferred to the Western Region in 1967 following electrification. Finally withdrawn in 1973.

Source: Triang ready-to-run model in of the Western Blue Pullman, converted to Midland Pullman form using Southern Pride conversion kits. The single original type of passenger car converted into two different types, to give a full 6-car train. Repainted and lettered in original Midland Blue Pullman livery using Fox Transfers.
