Prototype

Late GWR broad gauge brake third, built for easy conversion to standard gauge: basically a standard gauge coach body on a broad gauge chassis. In 1880s chocolate and cream livery.

Source: Constructed from an etched 4-wheeler body kit on a modified (widened) Mainly Trains 4-wheel chassis kit. Painted in 1880s GWR livery, and lettered using HMRS Pressfix transfers. Couplings were to be added by the customer.

£250 (made up from: kit assembly £150, painting & lettering £100), plus cost of the kits and components.
