Prototype
This model is based on the real building at Lambourn station, and similar buildings were used elsewhere across the GWR network.
This model was built for an intended model railway layout based on the real station at Lambourn, which is where the fictitious name Malbourn came from. The model is actually a mirror image of the real building, to accommodate a similar reversal of the overall track layout.

Source: Scratchbuilt to published drawings from plastic sheet, both plain and embossed. Timber framing, cladding, window frames and louvres all individually applied from plastic strip. Interior detailing and figure from commercial kit. Constructed with extra height to allow for "bedding in" to the ground surface.
