Prototype
This model is based on the real building at Lambourn station on the GWR. Similar buildings were used across the GWR and other railway networks. The original was made of concrete and housed the mechanism and operator's office for the station weighbridge, and the model is built to published drawings.
This model was built for an intended model railway layout based on the real station at Lambourn, which is where the fictitious name Malbourn came from.
