Carriage Blinds

Configure Your Blinds

To keep the range of configurable values down across the range of scales, certain dimensions of the blind components are specified as scale (prototype) inches, rather than model (mm) dimensions. A calculator and look-up table to help convert scale inches into model dimensions (or vice versa) is available here (opens in new browser tab/window).

Note: If you want a blind component that is not covered by the standard options below, I will be happy to quote you for a customised set of components. Please contact me with full details.

To order some of my blind components, you can select one or more basic packs from the following (£8.50 each):

Pack WV, Wide Blinds, 1 blind in each of the 9 sizes.

0

Pack NV, Narrow Blinds, 1 pair in each of the 9 sizes.

0

Nine blinds should be sufficient for one side of a single Mk1 carriage, with a couple of spare blinds.

And/or, select one or more individual blinds as required (£0.95 per pair):

0

Note: If you select only one pack type, or type of individual blinds, it is better to set the quantity here to 1, and set the actual quantities you require once you've added the pack or blinds to your basket. Otherwise changing the quantity in the basket will do so in multiples of the quantity you enter here.

Finally select your scale, and configure the dimensions for your carriage window and borders (applies to all packs and individual blinds):

These specifiy the overall size of your window aperture, including any toplights etc., for the Wide blind type. For a BR Mk1 coach, set to 40 (h) x 48 (w) in. Narrow blinds will each be supplied at half this width.

The border dimensions are the distance between the edge of the window aperture and the inside of the blind rib.

This is the height of the edge ribs above the top of the blind surface (excluding the raised bar at the bottom, about 1 in. high). If you're intending to fit the blinds around the glazing, you will need to set this to greater than the thickness of your glazing material.

This is the type of resin used to print your blinds, as described above.

The uniqueness of this label is important because if you add two different sets of blinds with the same label to your basket only one of the specifications will take effect and the quantities will be added together. The label you enter will be automatically prefixed with "Carriage Blinds".

Total price for your blinds, as configured above = £ 0.00

Once you have selected the appropriate options above to configure your blind components, click on "Confirm Specification" below to proceed to the next stage of the ordering process. (This will also temporarily store the information you've entered should wish to navigate away to another page.) You will then be taken to another page showing the information you've entered. You will then be able to either add the blinds to your basket, or return to this page to change your specification.
