This page shows the range of wagon solebar plate or marking decals available in this group. To use it to select a paricular decal type, please click on the button below the relevant illustration. This will take you back to the main wagon plates and markings decals page while setting the decal type to that of the illustration you have selected. There you will be able to make changes to the basic plate or marking decal you've selected here.

Notes

Whenever a Private Owner wagon was subjected to major modification, or rebuild, it again had to be inspected by a railway company. If deemed acceptable, a rebuild plate was issued and fixed to the solebar. Where the wagon had previously been registered, an oval plate containing the original registration number, and the year and railway company of inspection was used. If there was no record of previous registration, then a rectangular plate was used, which also contained the rated load weight. This effectively acted as a registration plate, complete with new registration number.
