Configure Your Decals

To order some of my decals for seat covers you will need to configure each seat specification, select the required pattern and add the appropriate quantity to your basket. As mentioned above, if you have just added one or more seat components to your basket, the relevant seat configuration details should already be present below. Otherwise you will have to enter them manually: select the basic seat type (as described above) and click on the "Change Type" button. Further controls will then appear that will allow you to configure the length and profile of your seats.

If you are ordering decals for other seat components, you will have to enter the details manually anyway; please select one of the "Custom" options for seat type. The "Single" option is for full width bench seats (e.g. for a compartment), the "Split" option is for seats split either side of a central aisle (e.g. for a 2+2 or 2+1 open carriage).

You will also need to select a fabric pattern. This can be done using the selection control below, or by visiting a special pattern selection page, available here. Once you have selected a pattern there, use the button to return to this page. Then select which parts of the seat the pattern is to be applied to.

To keep the number of configuration option values down, while still covering the wide range of scales and retaining precision in the larger ones, the configurable seat dimensions are specified in scale inches, rather than model mm. A calculator and look-up table to help convert scale inches into model dimensions (or vice versa) is available here (opens in new browser tab/window).

Warning: If you visit the pattern selection page after you have started to change any of other settings below (not just the pattern settings), you are likely to lose those changes. Either select the pattern first, or use this button to save your other settings before visiting the selection page.

 

This defines how the decals are divided into individual seat positions if certain of the features below are selected. It is the number of seat positions per row (bench seat or seat pair for 2+2 or 2+1 types). It may differ from that determined by the number of arm rests defined for the seat components (in some cases arm rests weren't provided between all seat positions).

  

Please select which, if any, areas of the seat are to be a plain colour rather than patterned (where applicable):

 

The plain colour is usually the background colour of the pattern, but certain patterns use a lighter complementary colour instead.
